Richmat
Intelligence's Thailand Facility
As
Thailand 4.0 progresses and the supporting industries for new energy vehicles
in Southeast Asia continue to grow, intelligent control and drive systems have
become a key segment of Thailand’s industrial upgrading. An increasing number
of Chinese enterprises in related sectors are treating Thailand as a central
hub for overseas operations. In line with this industry trend, Richmat
Intelligence enhanced its internal management system in 2024, introduced an
end-to-end ERP system, and established its first overseas production facility
at Rojana Longyan Industrial Park in Thailand. In 2025, the Thailand facility
and an ergonomics production base commenced operations in parallel, delivering
a substantial increase in production capacity. With total investment of USD 20
million and a site area of 40,000 square metres, the Thailand facility benefits
from Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) policy incentives and convenient sea, land
and air transport links. It is equipped with end-to-end SMT, DIP insertion and
final assembly lines, and follows an operating model of IT-enabled management,
automated production and professionalised personnel. The facility has an annual
capacity of 1.5 million actuators and several million control components,
making it an important hub linking Chinese intelligent manufacturing with
global markets.
Against
the backdrop of deepening China-Thailand cross-border economic and trade
cooperation, enterprises in the intelligent control and drive sector can
benefit from policy support and market opportunities when establishing
operations in Thailand, while also facing complex challenges in legal
compliance, market access and industrial implementation. Drawing on its
experience and resources in the Southeast Asian legal services market, Starry
Law Firm Thailand will provide legal support to Richmat Intelligence Thailand,
helping the company mitigate cross-border risks and advance its project
efficiently. This engagement is both an important example of Starry Law Firm’s
support for Chinese high-end manufacturing enterprises expanding overseas and a
compliance-focused reference for companies in the intelligent control and drive
sector seeking to establish themselves in Thailand and deepen their presence in
Southeast Asia. It will support more Chinese enterprises in pursuing
high-quality global development amid Thailand’s industrial upgrading.
